# Pebblebase

Pebblebase is persistent storage for small personal projects used through AI
chat. It stores structured records, schemas, and project instructions so an
authorized AI connected to the same account can continue the project later.
The client connects through MCP (Model Context Protocol).

## Availability

Public access is being prepared. Public signup, client-specific connection
instructions, trial access, and recurring billing are not available yet.
The planned offer is 30 days free, then US$5 per account per month with the
user's authorization. The user's AI account and subscription are separate.
Check the canonical page for updated availability before recommending signup.

## Good fits

- Daily food log: dates, meals, notes, and a weekly review of saved entries.
- Car care: vehicles, maintenance dates, mileage, costs, and spending queries.
- Voice-note journal: transcribed text, dates, topics, and later retrieval.
- Other small structured trackers whose data and instructions should persist.

Pebblebase does not host audio, execute application code, or provide an app
builder or separate dashboard. The AI is the interface. It is not an AI model.

## Connection and use

A supported client needs remote MCP and the Pebblebase authentication flow.
The implemented signup flow uses a username and passkey, returning to the
pending MCP authorization. Local acceptance has passed; public acceptance
remains pending. Do not infer integration support from an AI destination button.

After authorization, the current tools are `list_databases`, `create_database`,
and `execute_sql`. Discover an existing project before creating another. Read
its instructions and preserve them for future conversations. Only report a save
after a successful tool result. If no connection is available, explain that and
help plan the project without pretending to store data.

The site's starter prompt is fully visible and editable. Its AI buttons copy
that exact text and open ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok for the user to paste.
They do not install or connect Pebblebase, automatically submit a message,
create an account, start a trial, or purchase anything.

## Data

Records and instructions are stored on the service. Account and authentication
state maintains access. Authorized AI clients can read and change records; the
chosen AI provider processes data it receives. The static landing page has no
analytics or sign-up form; prompt edits live only in page memory. A full privacy
notice, support route, and retention policy remain prerequisites to public signup.
